About Crotts & Saunders

Crotts & Saunders was established over 60 years ago with a primary focus on metrology and engineering solutions. Credited with being the first company to import a coordinate measuring machine (CMM) to the United States, Crotts & Saunders has a rich history of providing expert metrology products and services.

As the manufacturing industry evolved, so did Crotts & Saunders. By listening to their customer base, they expanded into offering turnkey solutions, and engineering services, and eventually became a machine tool distributor.

The team at Crotts & Saunders is led by Chris Miller, Executive VP, and consists of highly skilled machining and metrology application engineers, sales professionals, and machine service technicians that serve North and South Carolina, Virginia, and parts of West Virginia.

Affiliation with The HEH Group

Crotts & Saunders’s succession planning included the company being acquired by members of The HEH Group’s leadership team, consisting of Willie Eichele, Jim Hagarty, and Bob Hagarty. While the ownership had changed in 2013, the principles upon which it was founded had not.

Crotts & Saunders brings a great deal of expertise in the metrology fields which is seamlessly shared throughout The HEH Group’s family of companies. By tapping into this valuable resource, our customers are able to benefit.
