Understanding Our Family of Four Companies and Their Capabilities

The HEH Group is a family of four companies that work together to provide leading solutions to the manufacturing industry.

So, what does the name mean (hint: not a law firm or a holding company)? HEH stands for Hagerty, Eichele, and Hagerty – the last names of the three owners: CEO Bob Hagerty, President Willie Eichele, and Vice President Jim Hagerty. The Group comprises of four companies: Ultra Tech, Motch & Eichele, Crotts & Saunders, and Advanced Spindle Technology (AST).

In a recent video, Willie Eichele took some time to explain The HEH Group and the many benefits of working with our family of companies. In the video, Eichele details how The HEH Group started in 2009 when Motch & Eichele and Ultra Tech joined forces. A few years later, the Crotts & Saunders Group was acquired, and in 2017 the Group started AST.

Ultra Tech:

Ultra Tech is in Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio, and there are four district areas of their business. Special and custom machine building, rebuilding of existing equipment and controls, complex turkey, and automation. On the automation side, Ultra Tech has been a Fanuc Authorized Integrator since 2001; they are A3 Certified and considered a level four integrator.

Advanced Spindle Technology:

AST is a spindle rebuild manufacturer in Winston-Salem, North Carolina, and Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio. AST’s two-state-of-art and well-equipped facilities are unique, as well as its testing and evaluation processes. Their in-depth knowledge of precision spindle repair is second to none.

Distributors Motch & Eichele and Crotts & Saunders:

The HEH Group’s distributors operate in Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio, and Winston-Salem, North Carolina, focusing on quality machine tools, metrology, and automation. Their leading brands include Mazak, Mitsubishi EDM, and Hydromat. Both distributors also handle various CMMs, vision systems, digital microscopes, and Fanuc CRX cobots.

HEH Technical Team:

The HEH Group recently created the HEH Technical Team, which consists of our service specialists on each team. The technical team comprises applications specialists, engineers, and service technicians on the machine tool, metrology, and automation side. The purpose of this team is to get the service team under one group and focused on working together to provide life cycle service to the customers.
